HAR KI DUN / YUMNOTRI PASS TREK

DAY 01
Delhi - Haridwar - Taluka
|
Arrive Haridwar by train. Drive to Sankari/Taluka.Over night camp/forest Banglow. (7-8 hours drive)

DAY 02
Begin the trek; a gradual ascent brings you to the picturesque Osla village along the swift rivulet. Overnight in camp / Forest Bungalow. (12 K.ms, 5-7 hrs walking)

DAY 03
Climb to the higher reaches of the mountains to reach Har Ki Dun (3566m), the beautiful ' Valley of Gods ' ! Overnight in camp. (11 K.ms, 5-7 hrs walking)

DAY 04
Har Ki Dun - Day at leisure to explore the surroundings |

DAY 05
Trace the route back to Osla and to Devsu. Overnight in camp. (11 km,4-5 hrs walking)
|
Continue the uphill trek to this small lake in the high reaches of the Himalayas. Overnight in Tents. (Approx. 6 K.ms, 4-6 hrs of walking)

DAY 07

From here the trail is all uphill and day is long. Over in camp. (Approx. 8-10 hrs of walking)

DAY 08

After the pass, the trail is generally downhill; reach Yamnotri- the source of the river Yamuna, and an important Hindu pilgrim centre. Overnight in camp/Guest House / Forest Bungalow/. ( Aprox. 6-8 hrs of walking )

DAY 09
Yamnotri - Hanuman Chatti |
Continue with downhill walking to Hanuman chatti. Overnight in camp/Guest House / Forest Bungalow (12 km, Approx.4-5 hours of walking) |
DAY 010
Though it is steep climb to Seema, it worth the effort as Seema is a beautiful meadow for camping where you have a view of Banderpunchh and other snow capped mountains. Overnight in camp. (Approx 5-6 hours of walking) |
DAY 011
It is beautiful walk through high alpine meadow surrounded by big snow covered mountains to beautiful lake Dodital. Over night in camp. (Approx. 7-8 hours of walking) |
DAY 012
Most of it is downhill walk. Reach road head-transfer to hotel in Uttarakashi. Over night stay in hotel. (Approx. 7-8 hours of walking) |
DAY 013
Drive to Haridwar (approx 6 hours). Departure by Train to Delhi .
